I will update and see what it does and I will try speed test. I meant to say chassie partition wipe if you look up how to do a chassis partition wipe online but you do it by powering off your phone then when you turn your phone back on hold the power button and the volume up button at same time till the phone turns on. that will get you into the bootloader they're going in your PIN if you have one or password then you're going to pick English and you pick the top option which is so wipe the chassis. and then restart your phone. this will clear your temporary data but does not hurt any of your actual data for the phone. I have been doing it after every update.

Thank you. I know that I'm not the only one with the problem, but I don't know if it's affecting everyone. Try to do a speedtest after the update and see if it changes from 5G to LTE every time.

Also what is a Jessie partition wipe? The cache?

all right so far I just did the update my battery is going to take a hit for the day but that's okay it'll go right back up. posting while I'm on 5G did a speed test is working as normal as I have been. I live in the LA area and where I'm at LTE is actually pretty slow on wolf around 15 to 20 and on 5G I'm getting around 40 to 50. It is not switching to LTE while I'm doing the speed test. we'll see how it goes if we have any issues I will report it.

to add to what I think it is I believe it is the towers being over text and other towers in your area probably aren't fully updated yet. be patient will work itself out if not they'll fix it. I'm just surprised we're getting updates monthly now when OnePlus said they do bi monthly updates. and once the Sprint merger fully closes we will get access to mid-band 5G yes these phones have the mid ban 5G for Sprint's that ban 5G.

Thank you for testing. I did what you told me and I'm still having the same problem. It might be the network like you said. Maybe the others having the same problems on reddit are in areas that are getting set up for the merger.

Hopefully it gets fixed soon, with the previous update I was getting 380 down 44 up on 5G.

do you live that you're getting those speedsI'm in LA and in some areas I do get a hundred but most there's something about 50. what's the merger does closing a flip on and transition Sprint towers to T-Mobile towers and switch over and turn on mid-band spectrum for T-Mobile customers are phone does have mid band things to see in order to use Sprints mid-band 5G which will have really good speeds about to even 600 megabits. I love how T-Mobile's doing there layered cake approach to 5G we have 600 megahertz band 2.5 gigahertz band and millimeter wave. unfortunately our phone only has low and mid band 5G but that's fine.

I do think it's going to be the network area because I've got a much better coverage now as towers come online I have talked to T-Mobile engineers and it does take 28 days for one tire to be upgraded so the remaining tires in your area are going to take up the brunt cuz I have to fully shut down the tower that includes LT that's on that tower as well.

I live in Puerto Rico. I don't think mmWave is going to be here anytime soon, low band and mid band is enough for me until then.

first of all you are using a third-party oxygen OS updater which is not from OnePlus what's the weather it is even said so. also do you even see the OnePlus 7t US edition that's on T-Mobile in the oxygen updater no you do not. this is because the US versions have the same oxygen OS but they do not have the international firmware. OnePlus is the one who does the updating for T-Mobile sends it back to t to T-Mobile and T-Mobile sends it out.

so if you're relying on a third-party oxygen OS updater that is a third party app not done by it OnePlus. That does not help your case OnePlus support the OnePlus 70 that's on T-Mobile and supports the OnePlus 70 pro 5G McLaren.
