Here's one reason you should not buy Google Nexus 5

Nexus 5, the official Android phone made by LG and sold by Google, is mostly awesome. It is fast, has a sharp and vivid screen, packs in impressive hardware and costs significantly less than other flagship phones. It also runs unmodified version of Android and receives prompt software updates when Google releases them.

Yet, there seems to be one significant flaw in an otherwise impressive smartphone — poor GPS performance.

Many Nexus 5 users report poor GPS performance in their phone, with the device failing to latch onto satellite signals, acquiring signals after considerable delay or frequently losing the GPS connectivity. This affects the experience while using apps like Google Maps or Runkeeper.

But,at the same time, not every Nexus 5 user is facing GPS-related problems with the phone. Dushyant K Mahant, a Delhi-based lawyer, finds GPS performance in his Nexus phone "pretty good." Varun Dubey, a marketing professional with a technology firm, agrees. "It's good," he says while describing the GPS performance that his Nexus 5 phone offers.

In our review last year, we gave Nexus 5 high marks and called it an incredible phone at an incredible price. The somewhat poor GPS performance doesn't change that. Our recommendation still remains the same. At its price Nexus 5 is an incredible phone and offers enough to take on the other (much expensive) flagship Android phones. It is the fastest Android phone in the market.

However, if you require reliable and flawless GPS performance, Nexus 5 may not be the best device for you.
