Here's one reason you should not buy Google Nexus 5

Can confirm what OP said, for some reason it takes a while for it to find our location. After using it for around 9 months, now I can't even use it in (indonesia) as it cannot even find a satellite signal.

By current standards it is now slowly creeping into the expensive phone club. Recent phones with similar price tags have much better battery life, and sometimes better all round specs. I'm a proud Nexus5 user though. Hopefully I'll buy the 1+1 before the Nexus 6 is out, otherwise I'll have a dilema.

I have an Nexus 5, and it is a pretty nice phone.
The ONLY con is the poor battery life.
I've never had problems with WIFI or GPS..

I have had a Nexus 5 for almost 2 years now and I am finally thinking about switching phones because of the few annoying problems the Nexus 5 has.

    1.Camera ALWAYS crashes.
    2. The power button rattles. I am on my 5th replacement phone currently. First 3 didn't have this problem but I sent it in for the camera and the past 2 replacements they sent me all had a rattling power button. I know it's a common problem but to me personally it drives me crazy.
    3. Noise cancellation is "too good". Half the time people can't hear me when I am on the phone because it thinks my voice is background noise...
    4. More things I can't think of right now

I have enjoyed this phone while it lasted, but if this next replacement they send me has a problem I am getting a refund and switching phones... How does one go about getting an invite to buy a OPO? I am totally new to this forum. :)

That's interesting, because it's not even a year old. You must be some beta tester for Google

+1 on the camera crashing. Ugh! I used to think it was me for having installed custom ROMs (CM11-Nightly) but I've been hearing about it with stock android users too...

During phone calls I sometimes just hear gibberish. Like the voice is distorted to the point it sounds like a modem. F*cking weird.

I haven't tried it myself, but everywhere I've read it sucks.. Maybe it's a question of perspective.

Never had that problem with the phone calls but I am glad someone else is experiencing my problem with the camera! My roommate has a nexus 5 as well and his used to have camera problems but it magically got better somehow...

Yes, and supposedly the camera sucked as well and I still have to find a camera that has a better HDR mode than my N5. Don't believe everything you read or hear because lots of it is BS. It doesn't have the best battery but check this out

The N5 is still one of the best deals out there

At least wireless charging is less of a hassle. I would still push onto the purchase. :)

Trust me, I don't believe everything I read. But everyone except you(even others in this thread) say it sucks. That image seems unrealistic though. I believe the nexus 5 is a great deal for its price, I won't argue against that.

so from the ref, does this mean it's mainly an issue in India? since i'm in uk should it make a difference? how much does GPS signal vary around the globe - presumably it can't be much else the system wouldn't function...?
