You're assuming that when OnePlus put new builds of their software through Google's tests, that they pass 100%...?

What if they fail with issues that then need to be fixed, and tested again...?

some people in this thread are unbelievable - stop acting like spoiled children - oneplus committed to pie in general not delivering pie to you on a said date. If its not ready then its not ready do you want a buggy version to be released?

My real problem is why can't there be any transparency in the process. OnePlus claims to be a customer oriented company and showcade themselves as they are different from other brands. So why can't they just come and say that XYZ is the reason for delay. The most acceptable excuse they give was Google CTS but that too is 2 weeks old excuse. I don't care if they provide Pie in January but at least give proper updates in the progress of the process of delivery.

And those who are saying that people are making conspiracy theories should know that it is OnePlus attitude towards us(5/t) that has given birth to these theories

Because customer oriented does not mean they are answerable to customers like to shareholders. You (the user) is not shareholders. They do not answer to you.

They will try to take customer suggestions into considerations but they are not and will never be held to delivering on all the suggestions given. No company will be "transparent" to it's customers. This is not Kickstarter and OnePlus is not cloud funded company. The user is not their boss. Their investors, their board of directors, and shareholders are. Customers is always lowest in the food chain. ALWAYS.

Bro, As you can see they are no longer customer oriented, like before. They have grown beyond customers.
in terms of cost the OP phones are no longer cheap by any means ( crossed 40k INR in India).

For 50k we have options for proper Flagship with superior screen, superior camera ,water proofing and wireless charging, expandable storage

Next time vote with your wallet, if you are dissatisfied with OP.

The oneplus team has established a new protocol of action to inform the most excellent clients:

THEY WILL GO TO INFORM YOU UNTIL WHEN THEY SCRATCH THEIR BALLS.

    probably why its released then
what if adding google services broke something?
what if google refused to certify the this version and handed it back to oneplus?
what if google forced oneplus to implement the solution to the bug where /proc is mounted without hidepid=2 (read more here)?
If you dont know anything about software development or certifications how can you properly understand whats at play claiming its just oneplus being shitty and that they forgot about users of older devices...

well u have a point. but OnePlus has not given one fair reason for delay. with such small line up of 5 to 6 devices to update and that to with treble support, I am quite disappointed with the delay on op for not even launching a open beta. people demand it because they paid for it. if this keeps up. OnePlus will starts to loose it's Indian market's share soon[e]2122[/e]
