I remember I used to backup my contacts in my old sony phone where in a .vcf file was created. I used the same file to import my contacts to my OPO. However I am unable to take a backup of my contacts. If taken where is that file stored in internal memory?

I want to upgrade my phone to COD12 guys... Heard I will loose contacts if I update... Please tell me how to take backup of my contacts.. Pleaseee

First of all, are u updating the fone via OTA? If yes, then u will not lose any data.

However, it is obviously a good idea to backup ur data. So, following are the steps to take a backup of ur contacts.

    1. Go to contacts and open Settings
    2. Select option 'Import/Export Contacts'
    3. In the new window, select settings again and choose 'All'
    4. U will get a pop up confirming export of contacts along with path where the vcf is saved.

    Hope this helped!

Hey... Check out the screenshots below. I too, updated to COS12 manually. All my data was intact.

    System running COS12

Open contacts and select option 'Import/Export'

    Choose option 'Export to storage'

Click settings button on top right and select 'All'

All contacts will be selected. Select the tick option to begin exporting.

You will get a confirmation pop up showing u path where the vcf file will be stored.

Go to file manager. The vcf file is saved in the main folder/memory itself. Its not inside any sub folder.

Yeah... I think its a limitation by android itself. Best option is back up 500 first and then delete them. Again select all- only the first 500 will be selected again. Repeat! :)
