    Hey OnePlus Community,

When we announced the photowalk earlier this month, we were blown away by your excitement for OnePlus photography events. Thank you to everyone who applied for the photowalk or had great suggestions for future meet-ups. We had to keep it pretty small this time, but will definitely be doing more in the future so that we can meet more of you offline.

For those of you who couldn't join us, here's a peek at what you missed. We spent the first few hours exploring the High Line, an elevated railway turned public park. We focused the evening around landscape, architecture and portrait photography. It was great because we had perfect golden hour light to work in. We talked a bit about Pro Mode and how to adjust each individual setting as needed.

We ended the walk in Hudson Yards, a new upscale, tech-infused neighborhood where the newly-opened Vessel stands. If you haven't heard of the Vessel, I encourage you to read up on this incredible piece of architecture.

@Daisy K. and I really enjoyed meeting and hanging with everyone who made it to the photowalk. If you came out and have any feedback for us, please feel free to DM us any time.

As thanks for reading to the end, we have a small giveaway for you - the chance to win a OnePlus Explorer backpack. To enter, comment on this thread with a critique of one of the photos above by April 21. Friends from other countries are welcome to participate for fun - just keep in mind that we will only mail prizes to US addresses. We'll announce the lucky winner in late April. Looking forward to reading your thoughts.

Update: Congratulations to @F1555472149354 on winning the backpack! Expect a message from our community manager @Ruby G. soon.

these look good in this small screen format. the coloured pic of the building still lacks detail and clarity.
    on the computer,it looks bad.
that's the best you can get with this cam.
black and white one - good composition

The vessel picture composition is messed up by the two lines left and right of the building that prevent the full attention of the viewer on the main subject :the vessel.

I would have walked closer to the vessel and taken the picture from a lower perspective so the vessel will look even more impressive. I would also move to the right so as not to have the 2 buildings in the background and capture the vessel by itself.

    Here are my 2 cents.

@Brady "comment on this thread with a critique of one of the photos above by April 18th"

    Notes:
    - Structures on the sides are distracting
    - Was HDR on? The people looked underexposed
    - Aim for a better angle
    - Someone was blocking the subject and facing away
    - Should've took this on the side the sun was shining
    - Make sure phone is level
    - Shoot closer or if you wanted to capture the surrounding shoot in landscape.

    Editing the original photo:
    - Brighten shadows
    - Increase exposure slightly
    - Add slight saturation to the sky

I just love how the sun light and contrast of the shadows in the first one. Also being in black & white I always liked black & white photos.

And the second one I like how almost all of the building in the background was in the shot... I think it could have been a bit more brighter toned and a bit more color but overall good photos.

To be honest, that first picture I thought was of someone taking a picture with a smartphone, then I realized it was just his hand and no phone!:D

The second picture looks good although I'm sure some detail is lost in posting on the forums.

I read about those places before, a while back although I think Hudson Yards was still being constructed at the time.
