I definitely prefer to carry my phone on my hip, in a holster, rather than to carry it in my pocket.

Hey in the old days, phones were heavier so you need holster :)

I know this isn't pretty, but it is definitely sturdy and heavy-duty.

I've been using this exact case, albeit in different sizes, since 2007 and my first Windows Mobile XV6700 on Verizon. Never once has the structural integrity of these cases failed me, and it always stays on my belt. This specific model is meant for the iPhone 6 plus, but according to measurements, it should work nicely with the Oneplus One.

Edited above link to point to the CO-333P rather than the CO-i6P. The CO-i6P, will fit the Oneplus One if it's just the naked phone, but even with the thin snap-on case it's very snug. I'd recommend the CO-333P if you have any sort of thin case on your phone. If you have a thicker case on your phone, you may need to go with the CO-334P, which has even more internal room.

Is this http://www.amazon.co.uk/OnePlus-One-Case-Absorption-Premium/dp/B00MYFNB1Y the Ringke case you're using with it?

Have been using a Seidio holster and case combo for my Galaxy S3 and I'm going to be sad to see it go (unlike the S3...) but was definitely wanting to find a holster of as high quality as the Seidio (especially after the number of crappy holster cases I went through before I got it)

My phone lives in my side pockets when I wear cargo pants but with jeans I prefer a holster...
