How can I turn on airplane mode without switching off WiFi and Bluetooth?

I have realized this problem when I take flights. I still want to listen to my music while have to turn on the airplane mode before my flight takes off. However, that immediately switched off my WiFi and Bluetooth and disabled my wireless headset. Anyone knows how to only turn on the airplane mode by itself? I know iOS doesn't have this issue. Thanks.

All Android phones have this behaviour, when you turn airplane mode on, WiFi and Bluetooth goes to off, but you can enable after airplane mode is on

Yeah, but that will require a re-connection of the wireless headset...

As previously stated there's unfortunately no way of doing it without the phone first disconnecting both Bluetooth and wifi. It's the default nature of Android to sever ALL connections during airplane mode. Just turn them back on afterwards. It can't take more than ten seconds.

Thanks man. I just switched from iOS. I have to say there some details that iOS has done a better job in optimizing them.

I frequently swap between the two systems and usually tend to have one iPhone and one Android on my person most of the time. I can agree that there are few things that iOS gets right but for the most part I prefer Android for all the things you can do. iOS is a bit too strict for me. I do wish there were a better match for iMessage on android but what can you do o_O

You can change what radios are toggled when switching airplane mode on/off...
    Code:
adb shell settings put global airplane_mode_radios "cell"

just turn off WiFi and mobile data. don't use airplane mode then.
none of the frequencies your phone uses actually interfere with aircraft. in the US at least.

Wait, the only think left at that point is Cellular data.

Why don't you just turn off cellular data first?
