How do I connect wired headphones in op9?
Plug it in and if your headset hasn't got a USB C connector get a usbc to (3.5mm) head jack adapter
There's still a USB-C port you can use for plugging in wired accessories such as headphones or USB-C to AUX adapters.
Is it really that simple ?
It looks simple but there's still a few steps to go before you reach the end goal. This was just the simplified version.
Thanks for your responses. So If I don't have a USB type C connector I won't be able to connect my wired headphones isn't it?
Nope, however you can get this adapter in the OnePlus store though for a few bucks.
If you are going to buy an adapter, buy a original one... I've had a few cheap from China and they all broke.
I bought a 1+ type c to 3.5 connector 3 years ago and even today it's all fine
Get type c cord
By buying 3.9mm jack from OnePlus store
I have just purchased 1+ USB c to 3.5 mm jack
I bought the one plus USB C to 3.5 mm adapter. But it doesn't always recognise it and will play through the phone speakers.
I have to unplug and re-plug a few times before I get the headset icon.
From a connector of OnePlus...
Yep. Also when I opened the box, the adapter has the thinnest, flimsiest bit of wire on it.
I was shocked it was a OnePlus product.
With rhe convertor cable
I bought a budget xiaomi as a work phone. It comes with a USB C 3.5mm INCLUDED in the box.
Also it has DUAL SIM and EXPANDABLE storage...
The phones was less than £300...
Also comes with a clear case. Some 9 Pro buyers didn't even get a case.
It's a bit of a joke you pay so much for a flagship and it doesn't have those features. Not really Pro...
