How do I get rid of this button that appears? Oct 20, 2021 via OnePlus 8T

    This button appears when I lay in bed and use my phone. It makes the phone very annoying to use because I accidently click it all the time since it covers up UI elements from apps. How do I get rid of it?

    Edit: I should also add, the screenshot shows Discord but this happens in other apps as well.

    You can't, it is enabled by system default.

    The only way to get rid of it is enable the option of Hide the bottom bar under the gestures settings.

    Because it is a feature, so you don't have to use the auto rotate all the time.

    That's really sad, this seems like such a basic thing. Why not just give us the choice to disable that??

    I agree, I hate auto rotate. In 99% of cases there is never a reason to rotate your phone to landscape mode because this just a worse experience in apps. Why would I ever want to just be able to see less??

    BTW why don't you use completely full screen gesture without that bottom bar 🤔

    I have the bar at the bottom since the rounded corners cut off some screen elements. For example the navbar in Firefox, the URL boxes left corner is cut off. It's still usable, but visually annoying to look at. Other apps have similar issues with elements getting cut off slightly by it.
