    "new"?

    I have it for months.
I think it's related to the Gboard app, not your system update

I didn't have it until the new firmware and I already tried to downgrade the version of GBoard and nothing

It's apart of whatever keyboard you are using.

My Pixel phone has the same down arrow.

Nit Gboard. It has something to do with system update because it's there when I switched to Swiftkey, and then also tried Flesky. It's there, it is a new bottom bar.

That extra button is unnecessary! I always tap it accidentally and it's annoying. I hope they remove it. The back gesture to hide the keyboard is enough.

I got this. However I've not tested it yet. It would be life saver if it works!

not tested it because I don't want to create more problems for me while trying to fix one. never played with adb or developer mode.

If any tech savvy person is here kindly explain..

it comes with latest android 10 update from google. it's google thing, nothing can do. if you really want to, you can use adb command to hide bottom bar.

You only have to follow the steps that people is giving. Simply search in google about it.

BTW, if you do that, you will have other problems, specially with full screen apps.

Yes I was wondering exactly about that.. command prompt seeks to hide bottom bar but would it hide only when keyboard is active or some portion at bottom would be hidden for ever until I reverse that prompt. In latter case it would be more of a problem with almost every other app.
