How have other people reacted to your OPO?

    At lunch one day
Friend: What kind of phone is that?
    Brother: It's a OnePlus One.
    Friend: Okay.

At Tomorrow World 2 weeks later
Friend: Can I see your phone again?
    Brother: Sure
    *checks out phone*
Friend: How do I get one?
Brother: I'm not sure. I'll ask my brother.

    Next day
Brother: <friend> wanted to know how to get a OnePlus.
Me: I have two invites left but they expire in 22 hours, so you better let him know now.
    *brother texts friend*
Me: Does he want an invite?
    Brother: He said never mind.

It's really unfortunate that people are saying that about you :/ I'm sorry to hear that, but don't take it! The OPO is a great choice, and it's a steal for the price you get it at! iPhone users are the fools that take less space and pay more money, just to follow the rest of the bimbos out there!!!

Hey, that's just what I thought when it dropped into my hand from that beautiful box this noon!
    Imagine... spinning that thought further...
    Definitely sexy!

    Very proud.

It's a conversation opener with strangers.

London is not that friendly and tonight on the bus, someone was so fascinated just by the look of the OPO.

Talked so much I missed my stop. It was my 'pleasure' to walk back..in the rain.

EXCELLENT reply, will remember that one!
Sure to work in Germany, too (in German, of course) ;)

    Btw., I like your motto...
Literally - I remember SWIMMING thru Hamburg's inner city shopping district, on my bike, in a thunderstorm. The rain was so strong the busses had to move to the sides and stop!
It'd been a very hot day, and the rain was warm.
Soaked to the skin in an instant, I took off my glasses, and kicked off.
The main street had been crowded before it broke.
Now people were piling under the eaves & canopies, staring at me racing past, screaming with joy...
The air was so thick with water that I breathed some, the water encompassed me in my soaked clothes, it felt like... being a dolphin, like... going back...

That has been a wonderful experience. Thank you for reminding me.

NOT kill this for it being off-topic PLEASE??

It's amazing to me how few people know about it. It was voted best phone of the year on Lifehacker and has had just rave reviews everywhere. I guess most people just aren't into tech like I am and only know about the things that get advertised a lot.

Unamazed to be honest most people in know have flagships so did I til I bought the OPO, I got suckered in by the specs and reviews and was looking for something different as always thats what lead me to windows 6.1 then android and the daddy of the phablets The Note1.

Either one of three responses when I go to those third-party cell kiosks:

    1)
Me: Have anything for Oneplus One?
    Them: What's that?
Me: (explain a little bit, then walk cause they don't have anything)

    2)
    Me: (as above)
Them: This is it. (shows crappy screen protector and one wallet case)

    3)
    Me: (as above)
    Them: That invite-only, Chinese phone?
    Me: Yeah.
    Them: Nope, sorry.

I'm NOT into tech SO MUCH that, until noon today, I've never more than fingered someone elses smartie if they dared let me hold it!
Android was just a tekkie term.
But even I could not miss THAT noise, and how happy am I now!

I don't know for sure yet, but VERY likely, apart from remarks about the size, most friends' reactions will be:
SO, you've bought a smartphone, DID ya?
You always said you never would! (Unfaithful you!)

One friend, who's been using smarties for ages, has to because he's always travelling, hates them so much he did try to talk me out of it. Nothing OPO specific there...

    Hum. That's my set...

Mom / Aunt: What IS that??
Me: Smartphone (never mind brand, etc.)
M/A: Ouh? Child, is that really safe?? Everyone is talking so much about virusses, and data theft... And those emissions...!
(They DID get that by the news, of course, can't be avoided. Basically, they have NO IDEA what it is all about...
Don't even DREAM of having a conversation with them about why the internet is open, and has to be, and what it all means, or where it heads. Or WHAT it is, in the first place. Funny: they STILL worry I might fry my brain! Bit too late for that...)

M/A: Do you really need this?
(That's a feeble attempt to make me give it back or up, and comes from their loving fear I might get infected. They do of course realise that a human virus is something different from a computer virus, but something DOES stick and gets mixed up... Well, mobiles ARE an infection themselves, in a sense... Viral...)
    Me: Naaa...
(They are right! Honestly, I DON'T. YOU DON'T, either. Nor computers. All those blindingly mindless newspaper features abot "A week w/out my mobile / checking my emails / SMS", etc., they are right too, if they don't believe it themselves.
BUT life's so much more fun, WITH, and many things so much easier!)

M/A will be dead impressed though with the photographics dept., even if the pics WERE bad, which I am quite sure they aren't. IF you use the cam right. Which there are threads for here.

I needn't bother start talking ANY tech specifics whatsoever with either group.
Both though will, I am sure, be able to appreciate the beauty and purity of the design. AND the packaging ;)
    If ex negativo.
My mom would cover that sleek blackness with glittery things, and my aunt would buy a photo print cover with cats on it, the more colourful the better.
    (Nothing wrong with cats!!)

My nieces & nephews will like it, maybe love it, I'm sure.
They'll say it is too big.

There are a few MACies, too, you can imagine yourself what they'll say.
One has no mobile, but if he did [fill in blank], another did indeed suggest I buy a used iPhone4 and live untroubled ever after...:D

All of them now know about Black Friday.

Maybe OPO should provide one as a giveaway w/ each phone sold to London
    :D:D:D
Honestly, with THAT THINGY in my hand, umbrellas or whatnot would be the LAST thought on my mind!

...Which reminds me that I need to eat...
Totally forgot about it, but can feel a headache coming on now from the empty stomach...

And daddy Winter's welcome to come now, too
