    I think the answer might be getting a new sim card. we got a new TMobile sim card and no more issues with sending receiving texts . we are waiting on the Verizon sim to be replaced by the ISD department at work so hopefully this works.

    the us Verizon still won't support dual SIM so this is the 2025 Chinese market version I am speaking of.

    Here is a interesting article about 5G and dual-sim in general.

    A brief comparison:
    5G is (for now) only used for data. Calls fall back on 4G or even 3G (when VoLTE isn't available).
    All current Qualcomm SoCs, like the Snapdragon 865, do only support 5G on one SIM. Dual-SIM would be 5G+4G.

    The OnePlus 8 (Pro) should support one SIM on 5G and another on 4G. This is what we can expect from OnePlus in the future.

    Yeah I need to know if they ever going to enable the Dual Sims IN2025 because I need it for work. I only have one more week before myreturn period. If not I need to return it and get another phone that does support dual sims

    It has been months since OnePlus 8 series launched. Dual SIM function is still not available on my OnePlus 8 Pro. Is OnePlus going to refund the prorated time that I have been missing the second SIM or they are going to release the update. [e]1f621[/e]

    DON'T GET THE PHONE. I have been promised that I would get the Dual SIM support almost 2 months now.

    and I have seen this been promised as far back in April of 2020.

    I wished I had known myself, I personally wouldn't bought it myself. I need it for work.

    I agree, I was on support chat a couple days ago and was promised it was coming with the next update, well that update just got released and guess what no dual SIM yet. I have put forward an FTC complaint against the company for false advertising because it was an advertised feature when I bought the phone. Also contacting a lawyer since they refuse to make it right. I wouldn't of bought a dual SIM phone that doesn't work for $1000, just to have to carry a second phone anyway...

    Curious what the issue is with this model and dual-sim. All the other OnePlus phones had dual SIM out of the box no software updates needed.

    I Will join a class action lawsuit too. Unbelievable so many month without dual sim card and not even one word from oneplus. I will also fill up a complaint with FTC for false advertising.
