Do you think that after Google I/O it is likely that Google will drop the prices on their Nexus devices? Perhaps after announcing a follow-up on the Android Silver line? Or is this notion completely asinine?

Well if the N5 becomes cheaper there is almost no reason to ruin your life on this forum for chance to maybe buy a phone somewhere in the late future.

It's still the same price here in the U.S. through the Google play store, the only way to get it any cheaper is to buy it from a 3rd party seller on ebay.

Depends on if they announce a successor and how fast they are to ship it.

Google more likely will reduce the price of a device, which is not determined to be produced anymore.

A Nexus 6 will not interfere with the availability of a Nexus 5, yet a similar 5 device might have an impact.

I'd be tempted if the Nexus 5 drops in price but only for the 32GB model. I'm not interested in the 16GB model without an SD slot.

I hope they don't drop the price lol i won't get much money for my 32gb if they do. A few day's back i advertised a 16gb brand new and sealed 16gb nexus 5 i got on contract and i was only offered like £180 for it cos the person had seen carphones warehouse offer selling it for £250, now i have sent the phone back the price has gone up again lol such piss takers
