I got a burn-out two years ago, at age 20, due to being a full-time student, having a full-time job 'at the side' and being a volunteer. I slept 1-3 hours a night for over a year. So, now I take better care of myself and try to sleep at least 7 hours. But 9 is better. :)

Im married with amazing18 month old son who has obesity that runs in the family. So after getting up at 4:30am to exercise (P90X3) & take care of housework, working, getting home & then being with my son to rest of the night I pretty much get 6 hours tops a day. Crappy part is that I'm the type of person that has to get up the same time everyday if not I'm thrown off when I sleep in (& by sleep in I mean 6, 7am). So every weekend when I'm off I still get up like it's a weekday.

I'm not too bothered by it either.... Always been a morning person. I blame my Dad getting me up at 5:30am when I was a kid. Thanks Dad.... ;)

7/8 hours. But every Friday I stay up until Saturday evening. So far I've been awake for 20 hours... And i still have 7 hours to go before I hit the sack, so 27 hours!

Go to sleep at 12, wake up at 6.
Anything below 5 hours will give me a massive head ache.

Unfortunately, I'm always sleepy. I could get the recommended amount and after 2 or 3 hours, drop dead. Yes, I know, go exercise and eat right, Auntie. Always easier said than done.

I used to do the same thing. Full time student and jobs. Used to work late shifts, so 1-3 hours a night and then I'd crash on Friday night and sleep for 14-16 hours until Saturday night. A year of that was pretty bad.

Then I started a job working on weekends both Saturday and Sunday, and I had 5 days of classes, with work shifts in the afternoon. I think I averaged about 3 hours sleep a night. On the downside weekends lost all meaning to me, and wasn't something to look forward to anymore. On the upside I did gain the ability to sleep anywhere for whatever free time I had, between classes sitting on a bench, on top of tables, in a chair in the break rooms, on top of a boxes of apples stacked on a pallet in a cooler and so forth. There was a time as soon as a bus started moving I'd fall asleep. Solid 2 years of that nearly killed me haha.

Just recently, well the last week, with a new job I'm trying to take care of myself. In bed between 9-10 every night for 7-9 hours of sleep.
