How to change region NA to IN Jan 23, 2021 via OnePlus 8

    Hello , I live in Bangladesh. Which is near india. Recently I've purchased oneplus 8 . I want to switch region currently my region os NA. I want to switch to IN. Is there any way to do it without loosing any data?

    You are using a China variant OnePlus 8 Model - IN2010. Use a VPN to change region.

    There are four model OnePlus 8 variants available depending on the country of intended use: IN2010 (China), IN2013 (Europe/Asia), IN2011 (India), and IN2015 (NA/USA).

    Just Google it.
    There are no huge benefits of changing the region anyways. Your device is getting updates normally.
    Why do you want to change region?

    I searched a lot. And couldn't find any way to do so. Thats why i posted here ..

    This device comes with some different network bands. Nvm thanks ... The vpn trick was 3 years old btw.

    For those who do not know but may be interested, you can actually disable quick settings pull down menu on the lock screen.

    Go to settings
    Click Security and lock screen

    (Lock screen pass code)
    click on the cog to the right
    Third line down disable settings panel on lock screen.

    You can choose the region you want and it is easily doable through downgrading. First, find the OnePlus Os you want according to the region you want and your phone, download and transfer it to the root directory of your phone using "Android File Transfer", (first become a developer - Settings, About Phone, Tap on Build Number until you become the developer. Restart phone. Now Settings again, Update Software, manual update and select the install file you downloaded. Voilà, now you can normally update, restore a previous backup and enjoy your new region.
