both have been removed with the Pie update afaik.

At least the Cache option in the storage settings, I'm sure of that, you'll have to delete cache individually for each app.

You can go to the apps directly and clear the cache if needed. Why are you cleaning the cache constantly? There is no need to do that and you do realize by doing so you're actually slowing down the opening time of the app, correct?

Websites and apps cache for a reason and you're defeating that purpose.

no I'm just doing it because of the new Android pie update. found out there are many issues and thinking that clearing the cache will help out but it always doesn't.

No need to install a third party app for that, do it from the boot screen

cleaning 1st time after pie update? then do it from boot menu.. coz after any update cache affects battery life so definitely clean it, but u no need to clean it regularly..

Wiping cache won't help at all, even though you can through the recovery. Both the partitions are now separate

A/B devices are forbidden from including a separate cache partition

    Also, read this https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/battery-performance.911024/

Read all the way from the start to the end of the thread. I have provided a detailed explanation of why you should never clear the cache

since you have been updated to an newer android version, its better to do a factory reset. you might see improved battery life and majority of issues can be solved.
