I did not tested S8 or S9, but S7 I can confirm it was still a crap phone [e]1f602[/e]. I believe no major changes on the new flagships.

it is more to do with the installed apps than the phone/ OS itself. in other words, those same apps would cause similar problems on other devices too.

Maybe I exaggerated, but I do not agree with you. I use pretty much the same apps on every phone and I change my phone once at 3-4-5 months because I get bored. And it's not the same. As a proof, I kept my oneplus 3T for almost one year. From my point of view, Oxigen OS will beat Samsung TouchWiz or whatever the name is now, on phones with identical specs.

quite possible as Oxygen OS is much lighter on the hardware compared to Samsung Experience (TouchWiz). no disagreement there.

don't know abt the latest ones, but Samsung is Samsung and they won't change.
one can argue all day long on Android ram management.
but wiping the ram in Samsung frees up the ram and makes it run better.
that's what I found in practical day to day use.
for the OnePlus I did not have such issue and I did not check the ram as to what is happening.
