How to configure performance profiles?

While configuring tiles in the quick settings panel of the notification drawer i stumbled upon the performance profile tab. I have been using all the three options(power save, balanced and performance) as per my requirements but i have noticed that there is some lag while switching apps and dropped frames in games as well while using the balanced mode which i think is the default mode for the phone. If someone is having the correct settings for the governor and the clock speed please share them here

Use conservative instead of interactive(which is the default selection). You will not notice any lag while gaming and using your phone. But it has been observed that after rebooting the settings are set to default again so you might need to change them again after a reboot.

But dont you think conservative biases the cpu frequency to the lowest level

As per the definition of conservative, it conserves the scaling of CPU but i dont know how CM has configured conservative on their ROM it resolves that lagging issue, in real sense interactive is supposed to be better than conservative but in case of CM i am seeing totally opposite behavior here. Keeping performance in mind conservative is behaving good here.

yes !! but when interactive is working, it uses more ram and cpu for bigger works but when it comes to normal usage or low end games then it tends to change itself into power saver state!!

its actually an issue which will be cleared in next update

to be precise interactive is best for performance and
    conservative for battery !!

in my phone every thing works fine in balanced only asphalt 8. lag
and do consevative make phone more warm as interactive is already heating my phone

Conservative saves more battery than Interactive.
Interactive steps the frequency in large scale when CPU utilization increases (like 300->1200-->2400) where as
In Conservative mode steps are smaller (300-422-650----).
There is almost no difference while using both, but conservative saves battery.
    For detailed explaination follow:

Dont forget to enable the "Set On boot" checkbox to load the selected settings after bootup.
