shaik nayab rasool , via OnePlus 7 , Oct 21, 2019 : how to connect arc & optical not working ...how to connect this opctions
Sophie Z. , Oct 30, 2019 : After connecting via an HDMI cable device, select Digital Auto in Settings -> Sound-> Audio Out->Digital Auto.
Rick Y. , Oct 31, 2019 : << 1. Connect the AVR device to the HDMI2/ARC port of the TV via the HDMI cable. << 2. Select an audio output option that works fine (Settings -> Sound-> Audio Out-> [Digital PCM, Digital Legacy, Digital Auto or Digital Pass-through). << 3. If you want to switch the audio output back to the speaker of the TV, please select the audio out option to Speaker.
gauravcool07 , Oct 31, 2019 : I was doing the same thing..but succeeded after following steps in exact sequence. 1. Switched off Both receiver and tv. 2. Switch on tv only.Do not switch ON AVR. 3. CEC controls of TV will switch on receiver.(Ensure CEC controls on both TV and AVR are enabled, Also select audio out to digital passthrough) Thats it ..ARC will start working.
gauravcool07 , Nov 1, 2019 : Still I want to request developers to test it with yamaha avr as it is very unstable sometimes it connects sometime not.
Rick Y. , Nov 1, 2019 : << Thank you for your feedback. Please check the HDMI interface and wire contact at the Yamaha avr side when there is no connection. Try to re-plug the HDMI cable.
Enlightening , Apr 21, 2020 : Thanks for the help! I had issues with Yamaha AV receiver too. Now it works

Venky61 , Dec 5, 2020 : Hey as you mentioned that your TV is Y series, What is the Selected Format in Settings<Device Preference< Sound If it's Auto, see if manual selection helps.
