This is an updated guide on how to change the Alert Slider functions: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/guide-on-how-to-set-notification-slider-to-all-vib-none.369263/

This guide will showcase how to customize (add functionality) to the Alert Slider:

To do this you'll need an app called Tasker available in the playstore: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.dinglisch.android.taskerm&hl=nl

Here is a video showing you how to do it:

By changing the tasks you created you can make the slider do almost anything like opening an app or put the phone in airplane mode.

You can also download the xml file (backup) that you can restore in Tasker
    Available here (OUTDATED): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1i1Q8_jMCN2um_UipcoOf1uSekHJPmRqh/view?usp=sharing

If you have any questions be sure to ask them in the comments.

When you switch to silent mode and you click the settings icon in the volume header, can you switch off the Enable vibration and test again?

Did you add both, none and alarms? And also did you change the "and" to a "or"

don't think I would ever change what the alert slider buttons do (like launching an app, airplane mode, etc).

but I like the "sound" mode at the centre. silent on top and DND/ Vibrate mode in the bottom.

I'm having issues with the "Sound"/Middle profile. It turns all media to max but the phone DND setting seems to take priority and phone calls do not ring and do not even display. Has anyone else run into this issue?

Do you have the DND alert slider settings (in the settings of your phone) set to "Calls: from anyone".

I actually had figured it out last night and was going to edit my reply. I had the DND call and message settings off. After changing that everything is working. Thanks!

    Hi,

does this guide also work for OOS 5.x on OP5T? Followed it to the last comma, but nothing ever happens when I move the slider. I replaced the tasks with other tasks of my own, but that shouldn't be a factor, right? Cheers!

It should work, do you have notification access enabled for tasker?

You can find it in the settings on your phone => apps => special acces => notification access
