    azadak , Apr 6, 2017 :
I have downloaded the OS7.1.1 from oneplus drive website and now it is now in my phone's download folder, however, I could no update the OS following the path below:
    system updates>settings> local upgrade
it showed the message: move installation package into root directory
How to move installation package into root directory?
Is there anyone who could help how to do that and update the OS. Since in Houston, TX it is yet to arrive over OTA! Taking so long for the arrival. Thanks.

Move the zip file to the SD card directory as a separate file, don't move it into a folder

Root is the parent directory. Don't put it in any folder, just cut and paste it where all the folders are listed.

Open the file manager, select internal storage. That's it, right here, in no other folder.

Go to downloads folder and copy the downloaded zip file, and paste in the parent directory i.e the page which displays when you select the internal storage in a file manager. And don't place it in any folder.
It's pretty easy actually. If you still can't understand how to do that, then watch a YouTube video if available.

Just delete everything after .zip (yes even the periods just make sure it ends only with ".zip") in the rename section & then when you go to local upgrade it pops up

In case anyone else was having this problem, despite the OTA zip being in the root folder - sometimes (for whatever reason) the Updater app only partially downloads the OTA file.

I fixed it by deleting the zip and re-downloading it.
