I am on Android P Stable Version and want to roll back to Android 8.1 and i am going to use this instructions.

    Rollback process:
    1. Download the latest ROM package from the specified server [HERE].
    2. Copy ROM rollback package to the mobile phone storage root directory.
    3. Settings -> system updates -> top right corner icon -> local upgrade -> click on the installation package -> immediately upgrade -> system upgrade to 100%.
    4. Select Reboot system now.
    5. Update successfully.
Please note: This rollback will clear all contents of the phone, please make sure to back up.
alter rollback to the stable version of O can update to P version via OTA after global rollout.

have you successfully roll back to android 8.1 from stable 9.0?

Yes it works like a charm. Oreo is more smooth than android pie. Will Install pie after 2-3 more stable release. Thanks buddy

I used the MSN tool to downgrade but you can just download a old oreo update to your phone and flash it in TWRP, But Keep in mind that this process Will WIPE YOUR DATA
    So backup stuff you need.

My 3t has become sluggish, unresponsive and lagging after latest update (9.0.3). I ended up resetting the phone to factory settings, (Android 8.0.0, Oxygen 5.0.8) so for me currently 8.1 would be an upgrade. I have no desire to f*** my perfectly working phone with an upgrade that turns it into a two year old iPhone.

Cool story but do you really think a thread in 6/6T sub-forum from Sept 2018 is the best place to share your riveting tale?

Why not address your issues in the Pie thread for your device?
