Apparently there is no hardware difference between different OnePlus 8 Pro models.

The only difference is the Oxygen build type that is installed according the region of the model ( last 2 digits from the build number)

Each region has some specific restrictions applied to his zone.
Example : apparently India build has no or very limited sound equalizer options instead of Europe/NA/China.
Whereas China has no "Photochrome" filter in his latest build and other region builds kept it.

Joneath, could you help me with the FCC ID of that model. I might need to register it in my country. Just need to confirm if FCC ID for that model is the same as for IN2025

So you confirm that OP confirmed there is no carrier bands difference between OP8Pro models ?
In a more clearly way : All bands supported regardless the model type

no. i asked if the network limitations were hardware or software. they didnt really answer me or read my message thoroughly. the 4 links on the op from reddit show different network capabilities based on the region.

Normally network bands are limited by the hardware and not the software. I've never seen any way to activate bands on the fly.
If the model you are trying to buy doesn't fully support your mobile carrier then do not buy it otherwise you will not get full network hook up

i thought the software region had more to do with the network bands available. this is a guide on xda from 6 years ago.

i know using the wrong regions rom when flashing betas or stuff will change the connection quality or even your ability to connect to your network

I have the 2020 from eBay. I can confirm 5g is working with T-Mobile perfectly. Including VoWifi and VoLTE

Why are you lying? The IN2020 has only n41 5G band coverage, while T-Mobile requires n71, n260 or n261. It obviously is not compatible with T-Mobile 5G.
