I have tried to find the Global ROM in the support site but there is none available for 8 Pro. You think the UK ROM would be OK for Australia so I can use the 5G n78 band?

Firmware can't unlock a band your phone's hardware doesn't support. It can only unlock bands previously locked by older software. This list is definitive and will tell you if your device will support Band n78 (all but the North American IN2025 does.)

For future reference, you simply have to switch your originating country to find the global ROM. That would've taken you to: https://www.oneplus.com/support/softwareupgrade/details?code=PM1587123976090 to get...
