[How-To] Install Xposed, pertinent links for the different versions

    Dr. Indest , Aug 9, 2015 :
Many people are having a hard time finding what SDK + APK combo to use on the different versions of Android, hence, the purpose of this thread.

General warning: This thread was written for the OPO hardware, ARM 32 bit. Not for the OP2.

    Proceed at your own risk.

    Intro:
Xposed is like MobileSubstrate for the iPhone but, on Android. It opens the realm of modification and customization. In layman terms, it allows you to control your phone to the fullest potential. Any customization you can think of, has probably been made into an Xposed Module by now.

    Per Revo89 (the developer):
Xposed for the most part is STABLE and SAFE. However, installing an experimental module or an old module can cause a boot-loop. If this occurs, there is a fail-safe switch to disable Xposed and exit the boot-loop. To disable Xposed, tap one of the hardware buttons (the Power button or a Volume button) on your device, SEVERAL TIMES, during startup. This means that pressing the Volume Up button, for example, multiple times (during startup) will eventually disable Xposed and cause your device to boot.

    Per Revo89:
    How to install:

    • Android OS 5.1.x (ie. CM 12.1 or COS 12.1) : Flash this, then boot into system and install this.
    • Android OS 5.0.x (ie. COS 12 - as of August 8, 2015): Flash this, then boot into system and install this.
    • Android OS 4.4 (ie. KitKat): Install Xposed Installer APK, Launch Xposed Installer, go to the "Framework" section and finally click on "Install/Update". Once done, reboot
    • For Slim & Temasek ROM: Set SELinux to permissive, flash this, then boot into system and install this.

    Module Suggestions:

I think I got it... Just need to confirm it is SDK 21 on a 5.1.1 build and that Alpha 4 of the apk will work with this.

Thanks for the heads up mate. There is a reason you made mod :p.

When it comes out, I will.

The sdk already exist and all I have to do is copy and paste this thread and change the links.

Also, most devices are ARM 32 bit. So you can still use this guide for another device. I just needed people to know this was not for the OP2 (ARM 64)
