If you're serious about heating it up and don't care about the possible negative side effects then put it in charge and game for a while or run a benchmark or whatever but make sure it's charging at the same time

I don't think it is a good idea to leave it in the sun, if you want to test its resilience to heat on the electronics, you might end up with a melted or dis-formed screen/case and functioning electronics. Definitely try ahigh intensity program (great stress testing app here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.into.stability&hl=en ) and leave it under a pillow so that all the heat is sourced from inside.

How about putting it on a rocket to the sun. Better yet, ship the phone to me and I'll do it my self :p

Overclock. *WAIT DON'T DO IT YET* If you're doing this to fix the screen somehow, turn on FULL brightness and in development settings check always on. Now get an app to let you watch videos all day. If you want to make some money of off running videos, may I suggest Perk TV?

people are really worry about the yellow tint issue. Have you any interest on breaking phones? Actually Sun radiates UV , But, it damages the device. UV lamp solves the yellow screen issue. There are people exposing OPO to sun to solve the issue, If you want to be rude I am not the person you were speaking to. @Bruce Lee

I have seen a lot of posts with that solution but anyone negative about using UV light. If I had the issue, I would read some more, and after trying with videos and high brightness I would expose the OPO to UV ligth. Actually I do not know if it solves the problem but if it were not dangerous, why not to try it?
