I made this post myself.. no need to tell me how to post, if credit was needed to be given, I would have given credit... I've been around forums for a while (I'm an XDA-Moderator and XDA Recognized Developer)..And this method has been tested on my own device twice (yes I own one) I have been rooted since before Dees_troy released it (I tested twrp for him)

I think Patrick did the work himself. He is very active over on xda-developers.

What are your thoughts on the phone? Being a recognized developer over at XDA I would put more stock in your impressions of the OnePlus than some of the others who have received their phone.

I didn't do the recovery Dees_Troy did. I just had tested it the first day I got my OPO. I has asked him today if I could share the test version with the first 100 users and he decided to release it publicly :)

I did test everything and wrote the steps though and supplied Dees_Troy with what he needed from my device to get twrp working

I really love the device. Its very well built. Up until today the software was buggy and ruined the experience for me but the latest update has been solid (I'm still putting it through it's tests though) but from a HW perspective it's VERY nice. Probably one of the best built devices I've come across (especially for the price)

Good to hear that they cleaned up CM and that the software is on par with the hardware now. I'll be watching to see what else you come up with using the phone. I can pick up some tips hopefully while waiting endlessly for my chance to pick up the phone.

GREAT! Everyone can rest easy knowing the @MVichael won't be rooting because he thinks root will let him flash a custom Rom. It's probably best you don't root if you think root will let you flash a custom Rom lol!

I can think of a few reasons:
    - AdAway ad-blocker
    - Make a nandroid backup
    - Titanium backup for user apps and data
    - Improve gps locking and accuracy
    - Underclock for better batterylife and undervolt the cpu for lower temps
    - Xposed framwork and its modules
    - Etc etc.
