    Hi everybody,

I've been trying to change the ringtone of my OnePlus 3T, but I can't.
I downloaded a mp3 song and I moved it to the Ringtones folder of the phone, but when I go to the settings to choose a ringtone, the song is not between the other ringtones. I just can select the standard ringtones.
I've also tried it with an .aac file, but it doesn't work too.

Does anyone have an idea how I can change the ringtone?
    Thanks

Go to settings - Sound - Phone ringtone - Choose sim - Local ring tone.

On selecting local ring tone, your phone will show up the list of audio files available on your device.

Great that you can upload a vid, but 3 times is a bit overdone.
Besides that, if you had read the thread you would have seen it has been solved already on Feb 10

I have the same problem! Even following the steps outlined here, it does not work. I'm also with Oneplus 3T Android version 7.1.1 and Oxygen OS version 4.1.3.

On my Oneplus One and X you were able copy it via USB on your internal storage:
"media - audio - ringtones" and you can select it inside the ringtone menu.
If one of those folder doesn't exist, just create it!

Not sure if Android 7 still support this, just give it a try.

First, go to storage and check if there´s a Ringtones and a Notifications folder. These are separate folders. If not, create them. Then, "Sound / Phone ringtone / Local ringtone". Follow the same steps for the SMS ringtone. Now, on the top of the screen, change "All", to "Fragment". This will filter out any long audio files that you may have on your phone, and leave only short audio clips, if you so desire. MP3 files work perfectly. To change the "Default" notification ringtone, you have to install a third party app. I recommend, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tone.selector.
