How do I switch to my most recent app using gestures?

Please don't tell me to use the task switcher. What I mean is the equivalent to double pressing the "recent apps navigation button".

On the iPhone X you swipe left and right at the bottom of the screen but how do you do it on the OnePlus 6?

Without this feature I really can't switch to gesture controls yet...

    Thanks

This only brings up recent apps but doesn't switch to the most recent one.

You swipe up and hold from the bottom centre. It brings up the recent apps. Again swipe up and hold it. This will switch between the recent used two apps. It was a lot easier in earlier versions, but I dunno, have to sacrifice somethings I guess. Hope this helped.

Abhishek's method will work only on the new Pie version of NAV bar. If you put the iPhone X Navigation gestures, this is the only method.

I too use this method. It's a pity that OnePlus's own gestures doesn't have this. Otherwise, a lot of screen real estate could have been freed up.

Though unintuitive & cumbersome this method actually works. Thanks.

In my opinion, to switch between 2 recent apps by swiping it twice from bottom mid isn't so practical. It's much faster to just swipe once and then choose the last recent app from the multitasking view.

You can download Fingerprint gestures from GP and configure it to fast switch between apps by swipe on fingerprint. Works well and very fast... much faster than the need of swiping it twice from the bottom.
