I found a pretty easy way to use old OnePlus Gestures on OnePlus 5T running OxygenOS 10

    No root required

    1. Download this Settings Editor app
    2. Open it
    3. Choose "System Table"
    4. Search for "op_gesture_button_side_enabled"
    5. Set its value to "0"

Done! I tested it on a OnePlus 5 and it worked fine. To revert you'll have to set "1" to that property

Thank you. Honestly was looking everywhere for something like this and I don't even need adb for this!

You have to use this adb command: adb shell cmd overlay enable com.android.internal.systemui.navbar.gestural (change enable to disable) to revert.

With this method you will not be able to disable the navigation bar

Thanks. It's working but I would rather use the hardware buttons as they are much faster and easier to use.

install settings editor app from play store..

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=by4a.setedit22

    then search for "op_gesture_button_side_enabled"...
edit the value and change it to 0(zero)...

if this is not available, then manually add it..
at top of the screen, you will have the option to add new row, click there, add op_gesture_button_side_enabled, then save it... after that set the value for that row to 0 (zero)...
    enjoy old OnePlus gestures...
