    FROZen , Jul 6, 2014 :
So a friend of mine and I did experiment with his one+ one. He has a wireless charger from nexus 5. When he got the phone he got it with the flip cover. we ordered a wireless charging mat from ebay(link below).

    Here is what we did:
we put the wireless charging mat under the flip cover and plugged the micro usb cable attached to the mat.
we then used the official google wireless charger and it worked.
    Its not very fast though.
    here are the links:

NOTE: Get the down one as the usb plug in upside down on oneplus one

    ---------------------------edit--------------------
takes about 25-30 more minutes to fully charge it

Same idea/method, different phone and you dont have to open up the phone as opo has removable back cover

Cool experiment. Personally, I'd rather keep the faster charging and take the additional 5 seconds to plug it in than sacrifice charge speed for a few seconds.

I don't think I'll experiment at all with my One. Not worth potential damage

Hmmm, nothing is wrong with society and there's nothing lazy about it. Wireless charging saves wear and tear on the USB port on the phone and accidental jamming/breaking.

If your phones USB port wears out after 2 3 years your doing something wrong I've never heard of that happening ever I have a 4 year old phone and the USB still work fine

Wireless charging is great. Puts less stress on the USB connection. Most of the time if the phone gets knocked over for some reason it lands or tugs on that tiny fragile part. Plus when my kids grab the phone it doesn't get yanked out.
