    Lumia 930 uses the same Toshiba sensor and it takes excellent pictures. Just like HTC M9. Pictures at the start were rubbish because if image processing (RAW files were good quality) and they fixed it already. I don't think OP2's camera is better. Overheating was an issue. ONCE, on a prototype device before M9 officially came out on the market Software is a turnoff? What's wrong with it?

    IMO I think the M9 is a blow to HTC with the issues regarding the soc and the downgrades quality wise from the M8.

    I will see how the M9 is very soon. I will also see how the OP2 is

    I'd say the Oneplus 2 is better. The htc has a terrible camera and is basically the m8 with a different processor. I would go with Oneplus in that it's cheaper and has a better camera. To me htc does not have q bright future. They keep losing money every quarter and I just heard they had to reduce their work force. Not looking good for them.

    I love my M9, but I am hoping the batter life on OP2 will be better than M9, and I know the camera will be better than the M9

    HTC M9 might is probably a better phone, but OP2 is more than decent and substantially cheaper. I bet if HTC was smart enough to price M9 as low as the OP2 and leverage a similar marketing strategy, everyone would be clamoring to get the M9. When will HTC learn that making good products is just not good enough?!

    I used an m9 for awhile. I liked it but did not love it. Battery life was not good and I could not get used to th 5" screen. I will say it never got hot like some people says it does.

    I hate to hijack a thread, but I feel its pointless to start a new thread for my question.

    Do you pronounce the HTC M8 "Mate" and the M9 "Mine"? Always wondered...

    My cousin is on his second HTC One M9, the first one had every glitch in the book, he got it replaced under Amazon replacement policy, and the second one is just as glitchy, he's now waiting to get a OP2 invite. OP2 is definitely best value for money and wins this one hands down. When you up your MP to over 20, and still come out with a poor camera, somethings wrong. Does have great speakers and is good looking tho.

    No contest. OnePlus 2 wins all the way, except for the metal construction but that's over-rated. I chose a Sandstone Black OnePlus One to replace my HTC One M7.

    M8 = mate
    M9 = mine

    Why did I never think of it? Good one bro.

    OnePlus 2 has better camera than One M9...other specs are comparable...for availability & support M9 is better than OP2.

    If you want a fashion phone for your OMG like ROTFLMAO friends, then the OnePlus Two is perfect! If you want useful features, go with the LG G4. It has a processor that wont overheat, like the one the OnePlus Two and the M9 use. It's $100 more, but you get a removable battery and a microSD slot, and an IR Blaster. The Galaxy S6 would still have been king of the hill if it didn't screw up it's feature set. And because of that, it's sales figures plummeted. You have to understand that phone makers will try to keep you with the lowest amount of storage since they save quite a lot and make more on the sale and in the end make you come back for more. Its the way the iphone's marketing is set up and Samsung wanted to do the same, but it backfired.

    yes, sometimes that matters a lot, you pay and get a phone, on the other side, you wait wait and wait and beg for invites to buy a phone, difference can be too substantial depending on individual preference
