What a pair of great looking phones. This is why Glass kills metal build every single time, you just can't get this kind of look from Aluminium.

Hauwei are defiantly leading the way in China, their camera tech and designs are way out there.

I can't wait to see what this years Kirin can do.

IMO they could've done better with the resources at their disposal. The front is too ordinary. Back looks good enough though.

I agree. But Huawei is a major manufacturer.. pretty much every other brand is bringing out a bezel-less display. In that light, these two don't really stand out.
They'd work splendidly I'm sure, but you need something extra to pull the people to your showrooms, unless you're Apple.

bezel-less is marketing term, 18:9 is not, it's just display aspect ratio!

    No way bro.
When you are paying the kind of money these OEM's want now, your phone has got to be like a hot chick/ guy. Stopping dudes/ gals in their tracks. Performance is great but if it don't look the part what's the point.

I Didn't say anything about them having an 18:9 display..
Only the pro version gets it.. and it's more expensive than the regular version, while getting a lower-res display..

Huawei seem to be doing ok.
They have already overtaken Apple in global sales and if these are a hit in the US they might start knocking on Samsung's doors.

That's my point, Apple and Samsung are big in the US.. even here in India. An S7 edge looks more fetching than these two.. personal opinion anyway.
Huawei will have a tough time gaining some cred in the market, and the price of these two doesn't seem to be helping that..

Thin bezels and front digital sensor... Humm, that's a good surprise. Finally someone did it. I really hate rear sensors.

Let's see what OP does with the next device and full reviews of those Mate 10. But for now these Huawei is in the top of my list for my next smartphone.

I was expecting someone to post,a thread on Huawei.
First,it has an LCD panel with FHD+ display which I think most of the people won't care about.
The cameras are good, and both have the same arpeture size which is good.
Second, the Kirin 970 has been a surprise in terms of performance.
As they said in their keynote, they are focusing on AI. And they mean serious business,by comparing their phones with iPhones and S8.
They have set a premium price range for their products. Let's see how they fare in the market with other phones.

The 18:9 pro has a FP on the back, the standard 16:9 has it on the front.
As for OP they developed and make nothing so it will be on the back like the rest

Great phones and amazing processors, but can't say I'd buy this over any other flagship phone. Especially considering it's only the more expensive Mate 10 pro which gets the 18:9 screen.
