Huge mistake to join with oneplus via OnePlus 8T Lunar Silver

  1. singh0222 , via OnePlus 8T Lunar Silver , Mar 9, 2021 :
Few months before I go for oneplus with buying two phones Nord and oneplus 8t. I also become red cable pro member but whenever for it's services, it always deceive me with its term and condition. I also bought oneplus z and one Oneplus z comes with Nord as a gift , which become stop working. Now oneplus says that gift are not in warranty.
Very disappointing with oneplus services even with red cable pro .

Hi there, it's quiet logical for gifts to not have warranty as it is a complimentary free of cost good.
Goods with zero value does not have warranty. It has been the case since the beginning.

Red Cable Pro no were says it will include warranty for gifts.

I m new to oneplus. I didn't know that this kind of cheap mentality oneplus have. And you also become it's blind followers.
This is the good way that you can gift rejected product to customer and after two three months customer will go to repair that gift and pay for that rejected product.

To be honest, it is not about being new or being cheap. It is about understanding how warranty feature function. You can check any electronic brand and ask if they provide a warranty on free gifts.

It is also not about being a blind fanboy, it is all about accepting the fact.

First thing it's not a gift . I preorder Nord without knowing it's function even it's look . And I paid 500 for that which was not refundable and not adjustable in nord. and they promise to give benefits of 5000 rs but I get 2789+500 . After got Nord I didn't like device so I again bought 8t.
After that I have met many condition of oneplus ,which you can not expect from a huge brand but of Chinese .

All this doesn't change the fact that warranty is not applicable on complimentary gifts.

It is your decision to pre-order the device, I'm sure no one forced you to buy it. I also understand you bought OnePlus 8T but again that does not alter or impact the warranty part.

But commitment was your that if you preorder , you will get benefits of 5000, usually preorder amount settle in product amount, you didn't. Not I get all 5000 rs benefit. Not this wasn't mension that gift (which 500rs you have already taken) has no warranty even customer care told me that it has warranty.
Ok it's my choice to trust to you. And it's your choice that you deceive customer with term and condition.
You keep your blindness with oneplus. May be oneplus will give you gift such as me.🤣

Hi there, I don't understand why you are telling this to me. I do not work for OnePlus.

Also, the initial query was on warranty and now the topic is going to a different tangent about the cost of gifts and its comparison to INR 5000.

Probably, don’t know about the shipping costs, guess somewhere people already payed for that or you’ll need to pay to receive your free gift, I don’t know.

I remember I won something a couple of years ago and I had to pay the shipping cost myself.:p

But the least they could do is provide standard warranty on the product right ? It is their own product after all.....gift or not.

It still lasted a month, heard people getting a gift that gave them fun for 2min and they didn’t complain.

Gists are never covered by a warranty. This is not that only OnePlus does, this basically how most company's T&C are structured in relation to gifts. Though I do agree that you shouldn't have faced problems with your gifted product. But still no giving warranty on gift is not a deception on part of OnePlus since that's the norm.
