That's awesome that you finally made a switch like that! I would love to hold on to my phones for longer than a year but something always seems to happen. This time I got a bumper Case for my 7 Pro. Hope that it will help keep this phone safe lol.

Ha I had an LG Tribune before my 6T and I was like... WOW This is FAST... SD 210 1gb of Ram 16 gb Storage to an astounding 8gb 256gb config with an 845 to back it up... I hope to someday upgrade again, Love my 6T though

its depends on the design imo. I have also thinking on waiting for the 865 but I don't like the design of the 8 ( based on leaks ), so I get the 7T with 855+ instead.

I have the Karbon bumper case on my 5T and it's still holding on strong on it. That case is the only case I use it for 2 years straight on any phone!

I just made the exact switch from 5T to 7T and yes this transition was so much of an improvement I'm in awe.

I'm a original owner of one plus phones from the begining with the Oneplus and seeing how they have grown to actually experiencing the growth is amazing.

hey, I'm from Brazil and this is my first day with the OnePlus 7t. I came from the Nexus 6p.
I'm loving what I see and the 90hz refresh rate is nice to eyes!

Well done and congrats on the upgrade!
I have recently upgraded from the OP2 to the 5T and the difference is massive.

Like the op [original poster] I don't get emotionally attached to anything and tend
to keep things like phones for a number of years. My1+ is now in the hands of
my wife [so that's another Samsung user converted to 1+]

There is one thing I am and that's brand loyal, I have been driving the same brand
of car since 1999 and using the same HI-FI brand since about 1990 so I can see my
relationship continuing with 1+ although I would probably never be able to get the
    most up to date model.

So at some stage I will probably be upgrading to a 7T too !!

brand loyalty is also kind of emotional attached imo, but in my case I am use to what OnePlus offered (great flagship without a "flagship prices"), it's hard for me to pay more money to get a Samsung or a Huawei since they what they offers is not much more than what OnePlus bring to the table.

I did think about getting the 7 Pro but I am not a big fan of curve screen.

Came from a Pixel 2XL. There is really only two things I miss from it; the squeeze for assistant feature, and the "point and shoot" photo quality is better.. nonetheless it isn't 400 better, just to get the same specs...

Pros of the OnePlus over the pixel:

    screen refresh rate
screen brightness (even in the pixel4's max nits is less than half of the OnePlus 7t)
    battery life
    warp charging
    speaker quality
    physical sound/vibrate/silent switch

    Price difference for closest specs:

    OnePlus 7t - $599
    Pixel 4XL 128GB - $999

    No-brainer. OnePlus convert!
