Rigjt bow cant tell. Your alternative is the galaxy s20 but that has. Inhad a s20 plus and sold it for this phone. Still this is better because atleast it dosent overheat doing asimple things like opening the camera or talking to someone. That phone litreally was a toaster. But yeah not a lot of options in dia at high end except the i phone op8 pro and samsung. Mi10 is garbage because of the software.

Don't think its software, its hardware, just read on Forbes that more and more people with Iphones and Samsung galaxys from s8 series till s20 found issues in their displays verifying them in low light,I guess till now not many did that to find this issue, green tint, red tint, and it seems Samsung didn't actually managed to fix the green screen issue trough the update, just a few people saw improvements. All these phones have one thing jn common, they use Samsung displays,I didn't hear Oppo having this issue, even though they have the same parent company as OnePlus, they are using a different display.

And all those hundred posts are the same image with Chrome; who decided that Chrome is a good thing to test in?, why no one is showing the same results in other apps or solid colors?. Again, get your facts straight and show me that the black bar is across any app and not only Chrome, otherwise we are losing time here.

There are thousands of ant-vaxxers and flat earth believers, and that doesn't mean they are right either.

Dude stop it,I have that damn line and I can see it in twitter, in display tester in any apps that uses some type of low color, from grey to dark red if I put my brightness to 1%.People are using Google cause there its the most visible and easiest to check

As I said, why only with grey and why only with apps that follow Material Design?, why no one is showing the same behaviours with other colors or at different brightness?, or even in videos in fullscreen?, why you guys put so much effort in demonstrate some dumb things in a non real-life scenario?, or maybe I'm just different because I don't use my phone at 1% brightness with a grey image the whole time.

If it's a hardware problem, then when changing to landscape in full video mode, you could see the a black bar. I see a lot of videos in YouTube in Netflix before going to sleep in really low brightness, and the only thing I can notice time to time is some black crush, but other than that, no problem with my unit and I was one of the first ones to buy the device back in April.

OLED based screens have all some issues, and only 5% of the worldwide production is "perfect" we can say; I have tested the screens of all my phones for the last 5-6 years, and all of them have some uniformity, black crush and ghosting issues: this is part of the OLED nature. In the last year I had a Galaxy S10+, Pixel 3 XL and S20 Ultra, and all of them have the same "problems". You guys haven't used OLED screens before or what?

You guys believe whatever you want, but most of the images I have seen in this forum are from screens that look acceptable and you guys are cracking your heads for something trivial. Of course there will be always defective units with real problems, but that's a different topic.

Yes, I too feel the same. If it is a hardware issue then even at 60 FPS that grey horizontal bar should be visible but it's not. It's the very first time one plus came up with a device which has the capability to run the device at 120 FPS. We can say company might have made some mistakes/error while calibrating mobile screen. What r your thoughts???

This is only my assumption, it is that the place where we see the black bar is the same place where the status bar appears, there is no need for refreshing that particular row to 120 hz all the time so at time ofnormal usage it stays at 60hz and when we use that part for an example watching a video it refresh quick which we couldn't see that bar.Only at low brightness we can notice the difference of 60hz and 120hz Because the bar is at 60hz we couldn't see the black bar at 60hz. Simply am coming to the point that it could be a hardware limitation to lessen the battery consumption variable refresh rates on the display. Next is the green tint, it could be a reason that it can happen when we messed with the advanced settings in the display settings.

You are right about the landscape thing, if it was a permanent black bar issue it wud be present in landscape also, but it disappears... Apart from a slightly visible bar in portrait mode, I don't have any issue in my unit. Mfg date is June, 2020. Purchased from Amazon first sale in India.
