Swejuggalo , Jan 22, 2022 : Normally I'd suggest wiping data of hidden apps responsible components. But as far as know we can't wipe those parts. We probably need either a tool from support or a factory reset to recover from this. So I suggest contacting support about it. www.oneplus.com/support It has been a know issue for some time. Hopefully they have a special tool to reset this without factory reset. Assume you are on C44?
DawGGG , Jan 22, 2022 : I got the Android 12 OTA (C44) this morning and can't answer incomming calls or even see who is calling me. I can access the "Phone by Google" app, but nowhere to be found on my phone. I don't have any apps hidden at this moment.
Caomhin , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Jan 23, 2022 : Check the Google Playstore and see if the app is available to install or open https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.dialer Also enable developer options, then search for Disabled apps In Disabled Apps, scroll through to find Phone and ensure it is Active.
DawGGG , Jan 23, 2022 : I can open the Phone app true the Play Store so I know the app is on the phone and absolutely nowhere to be found. I found the Disabled Apps menu but the function "Tick to activate" does absolutely nothing. The Phone and Camera app are both active in the Disabled Apps menu but nowhere to be found.
Amruth.avrg , via OnePlus 9 Pro , Jan 23, 2022 : Hidden apps in oxygen Os 11 are not visible after oxygenOS12 update by default. What you need to do is Go to Settings>> Privacy And set a password for "Private safe", then under the same menu, you will find "Hidden apps". Open it by entering password set for private space and click on the tab "hidden". Now uncheck the apps that are hidden. Additionally click the settings button in the same page (top right) and uncheck "Hide notification s for hidden apps" if you want to. Hope this helps.
DawGGG , Jan 23, 2022 : Thank you for the effort, but this didn't help. Those apps were indeed hidden on my phone in OOS11 and I unhide all hidden apps after the update. The Phone and Camera app aren't even in this list. I know both apps are on my phone. I can open my camera with a double tap on the power button and I can open the Phone app true the Play Store, but I can't find them anywhere to open the apps normally.
