    Did you try another cable?
Where do you want to transfer the data?

From the phone to USB drive ?
Is the USB drive formatted to FAT32 ? If it is , format it to exFAT or NTFS whatever else works on OnePlus.

Try to keep the screen awake, or wake it up from time to time during the transfer.

Sometimes OTG is very very usefull. When I'm on vacation I use it to transfer files from action cam to my USB drive.
    I wish my 3t had USB 3.0
    ;-)
