It's kind of shocking to find someone with an S II like mine :p Mine over heats and lasts for two hours too. I basically have to keep the phone plugged in to post on here. Only thing is, the glass is cracked on it and i'm still determined on waiting on an invite man. Do not give up, you are not alone my friend

Well said. I'm in the same boat. OPO got a huge benefit (IMHO) with no new phone announcement from yesterday's Google I/O. So I will wait to get the One because there's nothing comparable for me at that price point at this time. If OPO decides to hold back the One in a meaningful way for the international market though, I may go the same route as you, since my concern at that point (and quite frankly still is right now) is what kind of after-purchase support will OPO be able to provide to me as a customer if something happens to the phone? Are there local service centers that can replace screens, batteries at a fair price and quickly? What if I just have trouble turning it on one day and I need general support? Can I call an 800 number and get immediate support?

Good luck with the Nexus 5.

I just can't pull the trigger on a 6 month old phone for the launch price.

This is absolutely my greatest reservation. I'm currently using an Optimus L90 budget phone. Its certainly nice enough for everyday tasks, but I wanted to splurge (for me) and get something nice for myself.

The thing is, I have a lot of reservations about OP and their ability and willingness to help after the sale. I see absolutely nothing wrong with the original poster's decision. It is one I may make myself.

I mentioned elsewhere that the OPO is like a $350 lotto ticket. You may end up with a $750 phone at half price or you may end up with a blotchy screened lemon and nowhere to turn for help.

Someone could be totally patient, but if their phone dies, they're going to need another one. Now. Not Soon™.

Waiting is fine. The problems is that you never know how long you are going to wait.
