Hoped this wasn't going to happen, but it's here. Got my OnePlus 8T yesterday and I've noticed purple and green tint issues, at less than 50% brightness. It's not as pronounced as I saw on some 8Pros but it's there, as it can be seen in the attached photos, when compared with my old OnePlus 6 (both at 50% brightness, btw sorry for bad quality).
Should I wait for a software fix? Or simply ask for a replacement? Any suggestions?

I also have red hue when viewing off angle? I wonder if this is a normal part of the display or if it can be fixed via a update?

I am trying to figure out whether to return this device or not?

Nice one Bro, so everyone else has this issue? It's perfectly fine when looking at the phone as normal, I think going from the 7 to 8T has thrown me off, I understand it's a different screen all together might just take some getting used to.

If it's normal I will keep it.

Ok, maybe mines not as bad as I thought, maybe it's placebo as I read up about the issue. I don't know, I can see a slight tint but the photos don't really show it. I googled AMOLED screen tilt tint and there's a lot of users saying the same thing, from Samsung to Apple it seems a common problem with the screen tech. My old Pixel 2 XL had the tint shift too on tilt, but instead of a slight red tint it's blue. I guess with OLED tech this is what you get. What I can see is my screen doesn't suffer from any shift in dark mode on black backgrounds at any brightness so that's a good thing. My worry is, if I swap this phone I might get one even worse, that's the problem with any screens from TV's to phones. Panel lottery really. Some great some bad... But none entirely perfect.

There's no colour shift at all on tilt? No slightly more blue or red?

Could you please upload some pictures from the different angles. I would like to know if my screen is just a bad panel and maybe I just got unlucky.
