so I read somewhere that the new patch for the OnePlus 6t was coming out but it was testing it for certain people and then they would roll it out I was wondering if me having the OnePlus 6t T-Mobile unlocked version ( bought it on eBay) is there a way to find out when the next patch is coming out cuz T-Mobile only lists the major patch upgrades on their website for support nothing like the 10 3.5 or anything like that

To receive OTA updates for the T-Mobile (U.S.A.) carrier minority variant you will need to be registered on the T-Mobile (U.S.A.) network.

The last update for this model, the 14th since release, was at the beginning of July. See... https://androidforums.com/threads/t-mobile-usa-june-security-patch-update.1326326/

Their previous update was 3 months earlier, in April. See... https://www.t-mobile.com/support/devices/android/oneplus-6t/software-updates-oneplus-6t

Alternatively, you can convert the phone to the global model... https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/...ithout-unlocked-bootloader-sim-unlock.981638/

the last time I tried to switch to the global version I lost access to Google pay and lost ability to verify through Google services (play protect)luckily I was able to revert back to another version which thankfully didn't break Google pay and a bunch of other functions. from what I understand Google's been cracking down on certain things that are verified with them or something forget the details exactly. I think there's a post in the forum somewhere that mentioned it and people have known about it in the XDA forums for a couple years now. mine's an unlocked phone by the way ,in case I didn't specify clearly enough. my security update says June 1st, and my Google Play update is July 1st

Conversion will negate Google Pay I am afraid. The Android Security patch for June was in the last T-Mobile (USA) update, mentioned in my previous post. The Google Play patch is an update from Google, direct.

Go to... Settings > System > System updates.. do you have a cog wheel in the upper right corner?

If not, you have the T-Mobile (USA) model.

I can check that but it does the spinning icon and says checking for update and looks like this.
mine is an unlocked one ,though when you boot up the phone it does have the T-Mobile splash screen of the pink background with the T-Mobile logo.like I said I think from what I understand Google is cracking down on custom roms it seemed because when I last patched my phone to the global version locked me out of using Google pay and under the section that deals with security it basically said mine failed the safety net

okay so I'm doing the conversion from the unlocked version of T-Mobile variant to the international global edition I'm looking at the MSM download tools and I'm not sure which one I'm supposed to download cuz on one hand and being told to download OOS v9.0.11
but on the other hand I'm being told that I can also download the oos v 9.0.13 MSM tool. the second one mentions that it's compatible with the international and McLaren editions, but I don't know if that means that it's a newer version or if I'm just better off trying the other one

Stick to the way you did it the previous time you converted from T-Mobile (USA) to global model and use the MSMDownlodTool v4.0.58 that is shown in the guide, OOS v9.0.11. You will then need to install OOS v9.0.17 before moving to Android 10 firmware.

Should you have any further questions, there is an existing thread on the subject over on the T-Mobile section of the forums...

T-Mobile 6T to Global model Conversion (WITHOUT unlocked bootloader/SIM unlock!)

I was successful in converting the phone over ,had to use the oxygen updater to get it to the point of the 9.0.17 or what ever it is, as apparently OnePlus had made changes to the bootloader and in order to update to android 10 it requires that update first . Yea I don't have access to google play but all security patches are up to date at July 1st 2020
