    You need twrp installed or booted on your phone first, then you can flash SuperSU zip from your phone

    You can't root it without a computer.


    This is a developer friendly phone and rooting is made very easy, but if you lack the skills and or patience to root your phone then you have no reason to root in the first place.

    Yes you can, but it's quite complicated. You'd have to get access to a Linux command line and have adb tools installed. To do that install Linux on your chromebook.
