I literally paid 20k to downgrade my phone from OnePlus 7 to OnePlus 9R via OnePlus 9R

I have used the phone for only 2 hours and was able to find 4 issues which were not in OnePlus 7 :
    1) I have a fitbit smart watch and it used to work smoothly with OnePlus 7. But in OnePlus 9R, the notification feature isn't working i.e. I am not able to view notifcations from my smart watch.
    2) The auto call record feature isn't there in OnePlus 9R. And even if we try to record the calls manually, it will send an audio notification ("Your call is being recorded") to the listener.
    3) This is a big one. In OnePlus 9R all apps have the same notification sound. In my OnePlus 7 I used to get different notification sound for various apps like Instagram, Snapchat, Zomato, Messaging etc which was very helpful in distinguishing various app's notification but in OnePlus 9R you get the same notification sound for all apps.
    4) And yes, the heating issue is real. The rear of phone below camera gets heated during charging. My OnePlus 7 never used to heat.

Who would have thought buying a newer model will literally downgrade my phone :)
I request OnePlus team to atleast look into the "different notification sound for different apps" feature. Even phones worth 10k-15k have this feature and a premium phone of 37k doesn't.

I guess more of understanding or awareness issue though...

Point 1 could have been resolved..

while 2 & 3 are really very well known that the default Comm suite for all the OnePlus devices were changed to Google's comm from 8T onwards...

and reg. 4th, it's important to understand the difference here i.e. 30 vs 65w and fast charging

    Thanks for the reply.

Could you let me know how to solve the first issue. I have tried turning off battery optimisation for Fitbit app and restarting both phone and watch, but the issue still persists.

And regarding 2 and 3, I hope google will provide an update in future to atleast have different notification sounds for different apps.

And I guess I can live with issue 4 by avoiding using phone while charging 😄.

    Thanks again.

    Great 👍

For both the points 1 & 3, check the Notifications options from App info i.e.

    1. check if any specific option disable/enabled

    3. Yes you can still setup different sound for most of the Apps(not all though)

There are too many options... here's one for your reference..

The Fitbit notification issue is still there. I have tried various things and nothing seems to work.

And regarding different notification sound for different apps, ig some of the major apps do provide the option to change the notification sound.

Check notification access in settings and give the permission to the fitbit app
