Hi! I have bought Oneplus 7T from Amazon. Now, I have noticed that I have two IMEI that are identical and starts with 990015...... I have read that this phone is not in the international IMEI database. Is it possible to get a normal IMEI?

Amazon.in is the official reseller of oneplus, are you located in India?

However if your EMEI's for both sims are the same it could be that you have flashed T-Mobile variant.

You cannot change EMEI codes since they are hardware identifiers of a device.

Hi, you bought a used carrier variant that has been converted to a global model. Amazon is a platform that any reseller can use, as well as amazon itself.

Tmobile models have two identical ones since officially they can't work on other networks.

If you are telling me I believe it, but I find it very strange because, how do you identify the difference of SIM cards? The device have 2 slots for 2 SIM cards right? So how do the two phone numbers differ?

Well it's a carrier locked device. And AFAIK it has two sim slots, but since it's locked you would need to use two sims of the same carrier.... Which would be a bit silly.

Tbh I find the entire notion of carrier-locked devices a bit silly

Well you're getting them on a discounted price usually. Which is handy. But yes, not anything I would do (and it's not possible here either)

That phone was originally a single sim device because it was carrier locked. When it was converted to a global model, the second sim option is added, but it still only has the single IMEI which is now duplicated.

Don't know how it will appear in that function, but in the status settings, it will appear 2 times with the same IMEI.
