Obviously not, that was a bit of a sarcastic remark.

But it's not less ridiculous then expecting people to send in their phone for 1 week.

Thankfully I don't use those services, so I am not affected. But even so WTF....

I use those services, but I cannot take the pain to give in my device for 5 days, and staying without a device for that long time!

Also, one question: Is there gonna be a risk of losing my data? (Asking, because everytime the device goes to a service center, they format it!) If so, then it's much more harder for me to back up my 100GB+ data from my device and then again restoring it after I get it back!

Will this lead to a loss of data? As in, will users lose the data on their phone in order to get this update?

Would you want people trawling through your phone anyway?
Best wiping it yourself, it'd be a shame to have someone looking through your bank details, email accounts, photos, web browsing history etc.
Personally, sod that. I'll do without it rather than taking that risk.

True. But if you don’t send it in, you actually paid for a device which you can’t optimally use due to a fault by the seller. When you buy a phone with an HD screen the least you expect is you can use it.

Thank you for taking this issue into consideration and working to fix the problem with HD streaming. It is understandable to not cover the courier costs to send the phones to customers outside of your region, but as someone looking to buy a new Oneplus 5T, am I correct in assuming it will already be shipped with the fix in place?

They are not. Since they made an official statement and glued it under the first post of this thread. And it's from a staff member.

sadly not phones are going to be gone for a week minimum.

for people with only one device(no backup phone) they just won't be able to get this done

however what this has done is hopefully show them the way for the OP6 don't let it leave the factory without its shoe laces tied

And we all know something will be found to let the OP6 trip over those laces.
