Sound In-game microhone setting changes audio to call-mode, breaking mic Jan 15, 2021

Solution , Jan 15, 2021 :

Whenever I try to enable my microphone in an application my headset/phone seems to think I am in a call. It then routes all audio output through my speakers, rendering the headset useless. It does this for multiple apps and with multiple (bluetooth)headsets and it's anoying as hell.
I've attached two screenshots to illustrate what I mean with PUBG Mobile as an example, but as I said it does this for multiple apps and headsets.
Any ideas on how to stop this from happening?
