I have the Z2 and I just ordered the OPO to replace it. I like the Z2 a lot. It has great battery life, great design, camera is excellent. Expandable SD card is nice but isn't a big plus for me. Sony's UI skin isn't too intrusive. There isn't much not to like it's a great phone. The ROM/kernel development is a little slow because Sony was slow to get it to market, but it's easy to root and unlock now and as more dev's get it, it'll pick up. I never tested the water proof but it's nice to have that peace of mind. I really liked the magnetic charger/dock on the Z2 as well. Really convenient

The reason I'm moving to the OPO price and development. I can sell my Z2 and have a pretty decent profit after paying for the OPO. Franco's kernel development is a huge reason for me to go OPO. I'm a flashaholic as well and they're are a lot of options already for OPO, while the Z2 has a few modified stock options, CM and a few variants (Carbon, Slim etc). I know it'll get better in time, but I was really intrigued by OPO a few months ago, and planned to wait it out but my HTC M7 crapped out on me and I needed something asap and the Z2 just said PICK ME. I really didn't want another Samsung or HTC and the G3 and OPO weren't out yet.

My dad has the Z2 and I have the Opo, Opo is way better.

Both are good but the charging panel is anoying on the Sony. Also, most Sony are locked and as soon as you unlock the bootloader you void the waranty

Some Z2 models cant be bootloader unlocked which is a disaster for Flashing Roms/Kernels.. I sold my Z1 for that reason alone.

I love the magnetic charger. Also with the new root procedure it's possible to back up the TA.img so if you need to you can relock and reflash the TA and it goes back stock untampered

Lolwut? no voiding of warranty for that, at least not in eu, does Z2 come with yellow screen, not sdcard slot, no amovible battery, overheating proco etc too? no? didn't think so.

Z2 is better period, the only argument of the OPO vs flagship is the price anyone that denies that is a fanboy or/and biased because they own the phone and want to believe it is the best, newsflash, it s not ,it s far too flawed to be anywhere near .

I'd still prefer the OPO but if you want to play save you should go with the Z2.
Personally I would choose OPO because with those 100 bucks in your pocket you can buy accessories.

i actually agree with this statement.

if you're faced with this dilemma go with the other phone and give your invite to someone eager to buy.

There is, just because you spend your time playing candy crush , people that play demanding game get overheating and downclock all the time, and no, battery isn't a removable one, gl finding replacement for it also.
64gb is nothing, I have 162gb on my note 3.

    Doh clueless fanboi down!

I am not a fan boy, I just like Android in general and what is nice about Opo is that it is fully unlockable which is perfect for programming.

The phone doesnt overheat, there is a difference between hot and overheating but you might be too young to understand that for now .

The battery can be replaced since the back is easily removeable. Stop talking when you dont know.

For about 90% of people, 64 Gb is too much, good for you if you have more but almost nobody care to have more

All android device are fully unlockable, the phone does overheat, and downclock to 1600mhz, if you paid attention you would have noticed, all OPO devices are like this.

    Technoob you.

i meant, it just makes OPO more attractive out of the box! :p
moreover, this cell was meaqnt to run on CM and i'm guessing that might lead to some hardware-software combo? not sure though! :/
