what the hell is wrong with you. Many people just dropped a salary for a OnePlus 6T and Instagram doesn't work properly. It's OnePlus responsibility to make sure one of the most used apps in the world works properly

    Baloney.
OnePlus isn't responsible for the 3,000,000+ Android apps working on their phones.
    Contact Instagram support.

yes they are. why would you sell something that you don't make sure it works with, at least, the most used apps in the world?

Instagram is hardly the most used app in the world.
Look who owns it, that should explain a lot why it is such a poor performing app.

If you don't want the app fixed then do nothing as you are doing. If you want it fixed contact the developers.
I really could care less as I don't use that garbage app.
    The choice is yours.

why would you sell a phone without making sure everything works fine on it. if you're not developing your own apps, you have to make sure the most used third party apps in the world work in your device

it worked just fine in my previous phone. it's OnePlus job to report it to Instagram and push for a fix, not the users job to do it. do you go to a restaurant and dislike the meat and go speak with the butcher ?

well, then it's because the Instagram app doesn't support 19:9 ratio, at least thats my best guess right now.

It is on OP5t and stories are not cropped in 16:9.

Edit: Fecking app messes up editing.
