I am also experience those lags, especially inside the Camera App. I already deleted the Appcache and Systemcache.

Later I am gonna do a systemreset

I don't think OnePlus still care about older devices specially OP 5 which became almost 1 year older device for them..so expecting smooth services from OnePlus team is our problem.. Seems they don't even care about those users who chosen OnePlus over other devices.
And in the same time I do agree that OnePlus is working hard to sustain in the industry and doing well well with their new products but being a loyal customer of OnePlus brand we all users expect some respect too from the brand called OnePlus.

It might sound rude for some of the OnePlus lovers but I would like to mention one thing that I am also part of that community but still there are couple of the things which we deserve as per my personal opinion.

OnePlus- Kindly acknowledge our issues and make us proud for choosing you as Brand.

    Thanks,
    An OnePlus 5 User

This was an issue on previous beta builds but as of beta 9 the issue is gone. Hopefully the fix is coming to you guys on the official OTA channel soon.

Don't know if it's stock kernel's problem but with Bluspark kernel from XDA for everyone who has rooted phone and twrp, problem solved.

You say that it was a problem on the previous beta builds, but I never installed a beta build, and I'm facing this problem. I don't know how it works, does oneplus release the OTA picking the last stable beta build or something like that? So are you saying that after the official OTA 8.1 release it has been released another beta build, which has solved this problem?

So OnePlus tests new features/new Android versions on beta first, and based on the stability, they'll publish those new things. I think there's a fair bit of picking and choosing, but they only publish stable versions, but the one they must have published probably had that issue, but not enough beta testers were reporting the issue (maybe). But as of beta 9 it isn't happening anymore. So I'm assuming that once the beta is found stable, the problem should be fixed.

No problem! And I hope this issue is fixed soon, although it's been awhile since the last beta update, so I'm assuming it'll be a little bit before the next update, with the OnePlus 6 coming soon.

same problem and its so annoying. I solve it by restarting the phone, it takes 30 seconds to restart the phone, better than having a laggy phone for 5 mins
